So even in the roof they need to be in a metal conduit. I have unfortunately seen a number of installer take shortcuts on this (either running PVC conduit or even bare cables in the roof). I have a metal pipe running all the way from where the cables come through my roof tiles to the circuit breaker/surge protector in my garage. You don't want to give the insurance an easy way out if anything ever happens...</p></blockquote><p></p>
